What's On TV?

**It's recommended that you read the description below only AFTER you've viewed the video**

In 2013, Jonathan Ferell, a former Florida A&M football player, got into a really bad car crash. After dragging himself out of what was left of his car, he found a nearby house to ask for help. But instead of helping Jonathan, the residents of this particular house called the police on him, and when they arrived they shot and killed Jonathan.

A lot of questions arose from this tragic event, but the one I wanted to explore dealt with the residents. Why did they turn him away? Why did they call the police on someone who so obviously needed help?

With "What's On TV?" I wanted to explore how the images we see on television can influence our perceptions of race.
